MIKO ROLL was born from a simple idea: what if the artistry of Edo-period Japan could live inside a sushi roll? What if every bite could tell a 400-year-old story?
It started in a tiny kitchen in East London, where a love for Japanese culture collided with the vibrant energy of London's street food scene. We wanted to create something that honored the centuries-old traditions of sushi making while embracing the fast-paced, grab-and-go lifestyle of modern London.
The result? Sushi rolls served in beautifully illustrated cylindrical tubes — each one wrapped in artwork inspired by the Ukiyo-e woodblock prints of the Edo period (1603–1868). These "pictures of the floating world" captured everyday life, nature, and beauty. We capture flavor.
Our iconic Airstream trailer became our canvas — a rolling piece of art that brings Tokyo's street food culture to every corner of London. From Borough Market to Brick Lane, we're on a mission to make sushi an experience, not just a meal.

Five traditional Japanese patterns form the visual DNA of MIKO ROLL. Each carries centuries of meaning and beauty.
